Most billing invoices need seller details, buyer details, invoice number, invoice date, due date, line items, quantity, rate, tax, total, payment method, and payment instructions. Some categories need extra details such as account number, billing period, service address, vehicle number, member ID, student ID, work order, or original invoice reference.
These categories are starting points. Tax wording, late fees, collection notices, medical records, self-billing, and receipts can have legal or compliance requirements. Download and print records you must keep, because browser-only saved invoices can be removed if site data or cache is cleared.
