Agreement to these terms

By using InvoiceMaker.org, you agree to these terms. If you use the site for a business, employer, client, or organization, you confirm that you have authority to use the site and create documents on that party's behalf.

Use of the tool

InvoiceMaker.org provides a free browser-based maker for invoices, estimates, quotes, proforma invoices, credit notes, purchase orders, and receipts. You are responsible for the document details you enter, the documents you send, the records you keep, and confirming that each document meets the legal, tax, and accounting requirements that apply to your business.

No professional advice

Country pages, tax labels, estimate labels, and invoice wording are general information only. They are not legal, tax, accounting, or financial advice. Rules can change and may vary by state, region, business type, and transaction type.

Local browser storage

The current site stores drafts and saved document history in your browser on your device. InvoiceMaker.org does not store invoice or bill contents on our server. Browser storage is not a permanent archive: clearing cache, site data, browser history, local storage, or using another device can remove local records.

You should download, print, export, back up, and retain documents according to your legal, tax, accounting, and business requirements.

Client and third-party data

Only enter customer, supplier, employee, or other third-party information when you have authority or another lawful basis to use it. Do not use the tool for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or privacy-invasive activity.

Acceptable use

You may not use InvoiceMaker.org to create or distribute fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, infringing, abusive, defamatory, spam, or privacy-invasive material. You may not attempt to interfere with the site, bypass security controls, reverse engineer protected systems, overload hosting resources, or use the site in a way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.

Your content and logos

You keep ownership of the business details, client details, logos, line items, notes, and other content you enter. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use that content. Because the current maker is local-first, document contents are processed in your browser for preview, calculation, local saving, printing, downloading, restoring, and exporting.

Our intellectual property

The site design, source code, branding, layouts, country guide text, templates, and related materials are owned by InvoiceMaker.org or its licensors unless otherwise stated. These terms do not give you ownership of the site, brand, code, or content. You may use generated documents for your own business purposes.

Brand and descriptive terms

InvoiceMaker.org is used as the site name and brand. Terms such as invoice maker, invoice generator, bill generator, estimate maker, receipt maker, and invoice template are used descriptively to explain the tools and document types available on the site, not to suggest affiliation with any third-party product or service.

Availability and accuracy

The tool is provided as-is and as-available. We try to make calculations, formatting, country labels, and downloads useful, but we do not guarantee that the site will be error-free, uninterrupted, secure against every possible risk, or suitable for every legal or tax situation. Review every document before sending or relying on it.

Third-party services

The site may be hosted by third-party infrastructure providers, and future versions may link to payment, tax software, analytics, advertising, or other third-party services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Do not add analytics, advertising pixels, payments, cloud storage, or account features without updating the public policies before launch.

Cloud storage and accounts

Cloud sync, account storage, payment collection, or API features are not part of the current static local-first maker unless clearly launched on the site. If these features are added later, they should include secure login, encrypted transport, access controls, export and deletion controls, retention limits, breach response planning, and a lawyer-reviewed privacy policy and terms before launch.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InvoiceMaker.org is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or business-loss damages, including lost profits, lost data, lost records, tax penalties, interrupted work, or inability to access locally saved documents. Your use of the site is at your own risk.

Indemnity

If a claim, dispute, investigation, or legal request arises from your documents, content, instructions, misuse of the site, violation of law, or violation of another person's rights, you agree to be responsible for the resulting losses, costs, and reasonable legal expenses to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site changes or when legal, operational, or security needs require it. The "Last updated" date shows when this page was last changed. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Important launch note

These terms are written for the current local-first invoice maker. Before launching paid accounts, cloud storage, payments, advertising, API access, or jurisdiction-specific compliance claims, have the terms and privacy policy reviewed by a qualified lawyer.
